Mr. Ahmed Salem Badrus, Director General of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor in Hadhramaut Coast, reviewed the activities and programs of the Peace Paths Foundation, along with its future plans.
During the meeting, Mr. Badrus was introduced to the Tarabut project, which the foundation is preparing to implement in the upcoming period. He listened to a detailed presentation from Project Manager, Obaid Wakid, regarding the aims and activities of the project, which targets five districts in the Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra governorates, funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Mr. Badrus praised the active role of the Peace Paths Foundation in serving communities, appreciating the efforts made to launch the Tarabut project, which aims to enhance community participation in building peace and security for law enforcement officers and community committees in the targeted governorates. This will be achieved by raising and building the capacities of 200 individuals from security leadership and community committee leaders over a period of eight months.
For his part, Project Manager Wakid provided additional insights into the objectives of the Tarabut project, emphasizing the importance of enhancing the role of trainees and developing their skills in conflict resolution and community participation. This, in turn, will contribute to strengthening peace and security in the two governorates and improving their ability to address various security and community challenges.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Wadah Baqitayan, Director of the Associations and Federations Department.
