The training workshop on accountability and advocacy mechanisms in the field of human rights concluded as part of the project to build the capacity of young human rights defenders in accountability and advocacy in the city of Mukalla.
For his part, Mr. Obaid Waked, Executive Director of the Peace Paths Foundation, emphasized that "this workshop comes within the framework of the Foundation's plan to build the capacity of youth in the field of human rights, with donor partners, as a fundamental tributary to strengthening the roles of youth and building their various aspirations in all legal fields."
Over two days, 20 participants from the youth category, defenders of human rights and freedoms, received training on accountability mechanisms and procedures, advocacy skills to defend human rights issues, mechanisms for monitoring and documenting human rights issues and violations, and how to deal with and defend them, in addition to the importance of human rights and the roles of young defenders in promoting human rights and human rights issues in the local community.
